Take some time to reminisce with our Ocean City Memories or let yourself travel back through time to join the heroic Surfmen of the US Life-Saving Service on a rescue mission. Preview some of our exhibits or look up family history in our genealogy section.
 
When in Ocean City, Maryland join us by taking a tour of the Life-Saving Station Museum. You’ll find captivating exhibits featuring the history of the U.S. Life-Saving Service and Ocean City History. We also have on display a Mermaid Collection, Shipwreck Artifacts, Sands of the World, and Bathing Fashions. Aquariums featuring local marine life are a favorite for young and old alike. There is something here for everyone. The meticulously restored building that was once scheduled for demolition, is now a monument to Ocean City History.

Local's Appreciation Week

During the week of October 24 - 31, 2016 the Ocean City Museum Society is offering "Free" admission and 10% off gift shop purchases to any visitor who considers themselves a "Local" (Anyone who loves Ocean City and considers it their home for a day, month, year.) Gather outside the Ocean City Lifesaving Station Museum on the south end of the Boardwalk to learn fun facts and topics about Ocean City Maryland
 
Learn about different subjects each day.  Topics include beach safety, aquarium feeding, knot tying, Ocean City history, and all about sharks.
 
This free family program is available every day from July 5 through August 27 at 10am.

The Ocean City Museum Society is hosting its Sixth Annual Children’s Day at Sunset Park on Sunday August 7, 2016 from noon to 4pm. The public is invited to enjoy this family friendly event filled with educational programs, face painting, games, boatbuilding, prizes and much more. There is no charge for this event – it’s free!
