SPECIAL BUS SERVICE

The Town of Ocean City is pleased to provide special bus service on the new handicap accessible Mini-buses. These buses have a seating capacity of 13 ambulatory and 2 wheelchair placements. Total funding for these vehicles was through an Americans with Disabilities Act or ADA Grant and replaced two older vans with half the capacity.

The Transportation Department now offers ADA Service from the hours of 7:00 am to 11:00 pm, seven days a week. We offer "special pickups" with 24 hour advance notice. Transportation Department hours of operations are 7 am to 4 pm daily until May 1. Residents interested in using ADA-Paratransit services from 4 pm to 11 pm can call 410-723-11606. BEACH CHAIRS

Beach chairs are provided on the beach at certain locations by the Town of Ocean City and by private local businesses. When using one of the beach chairs, it must be used within one block of where the chair is assigned and kept. Beach chairs are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Blue signs indicating beach chair locations are posted along Coastal Highway. This may not be a complete listing. Chairs are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. The chair kept at the OC Visitors Center is avaialble for multi-days of use with reservations. Call 410-289-2800 to reserve.
