The BILLFISHER was built in Wanchese, North Carolina, by Ricky Scarborough.   Due to the method of construction she is extremely strong, the frame and ribs are left in the hull, which is then strip planked, covered in plywood, and fiberglassed.  This heavy duty construction is what makes the BILLFISHER such an unbelievable sea boat, while keeping weight to a minimum to achieve such high speeds.   Scarborough boats are world famous for their performance in any sea conditions.  The BILLFISHER is powered by Twin Caterpillar 3412s, which produce 1350 horsepower each.  Command over the powerplants is provided by Glendenning electronic controls.   A 20kw Northern Lights Genset provides the power while offshore.  An Eskimo ice maker pumps 600 pounds of shaved ice out every day.    The interior has extensive use of teak throughout, and no expense was spared in the entertainment center.   The saloon has a full galley with sub zero fridge, and freezer.
